policies
Policies provide a powerfull
and flexible way to dynamically configure and change WSDIR network
and interaction. For each tuple Directory-Operation is associated a
policy that is loaded during run time. WSDIR's network topology also
emerges from the policies that are applied to directories because
they rule the interaction between the Directory Services. There
exists two types of policies.

Proactive policies : these
policies are autonomous policies that can be used to produce
automatic clean-up or internal operations within a Directory Service.

Reactive policies : these policies are triggered whenever a
request is served by a Directory Service.
The following figure describes how the policies can be applied to different Directory Services for several directories.
