Travel to Lausanne

In order to reach Lausanne, you can travel by:

Plane
Switzerland has three international airports: Geneva (the closest), Zürich, or Basel.
From there you can proceed to Lausanne by train or car.

Metro
While you arrived in Lausanne train station, you shall walk to the "Place du Flon" or take a the Bus "MB" Gare CFF to Gare Flon. There the Metro shall take you to the EPFL.

Taxi
You can also take the Taxi to the EPFL from Lausanne main station or from your hotel.
The trip takes about 10-15 minutes and costs about 25.- CHF.

Car
Driving to Lausanne by car is possible, using the  highways (labelled in green) in Switzerland requires a special sticker (40.- CHF / valid for one year), which can be purchased at any Swiss Road Customs.
Parking places (paying) for visitors are available under l'Esplanade, and along the Avenue Piccard. Car parks indicated by the green "P" symbol are reserved for holders of a special card, which can be purchased (5.- CHF / day). Please specify if you want a Parking card in the registration form.
