Call for papers
You are invited to submit presentations for the
EPFL - Latsis Symposium 2007, Optical Trapping for Molecular Interactions
June 25-27, 2007 Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland
Aim of the Conference
The Latsis Symposium will consist in a three day research meeting dedicated to emerging technologies using laser light for trapping, in liquids, particles in the micro- and nano-world for studying molecular interactions. One of the key factors is to bring together leading scientists from academia and industry and the most promising young researchers from three different research areas: optical trapping, micro fluidics, and molecular interactions. The campus at EPFL offers a stimulating environment for scientific discussions. This platform for exchanging views and sharing experience should help to intensify and strengthen links between the different disciplines and to bridge the gap towards applications in biology and other disciplines.
Important dates
Abstract submission deadline: March 24, 2007.
Notification of acceptance : April 05, 2007. Registration deadline : April 27, 2007 Conference dates : June 25-27, 2007
Abstract submission
Sollicited presentations will be selected upon review of an abstract. Please send a two-page abstract (including figures and references as needed) to info.latsis@epfl.ch . Also, we will have full peer review process, the number of presentations that we can accept is however limited. Thus, we will accept the contributions depending on relevance to the conference topics, quality, and available space. Once accepted, presenters will have the opportunity to present their work either as an oral presentation, or as a poster, according to the committee's decision. For poster presentations, authors will also participate to a short poster spotlight (a 2-minute presentation) in the conference room. Templates as well as additional information on the format of abstracts and posters are available on the abstract webpage.
