Winners of 2006 ICBEM Travel Awards for Young Scientists

On behalf of the entire ICBEM committee we are pleased to announce 13 winners of this years travel awards. A considerable amount of time was spent thinking of how the 24 applications were to be processed and a lot of careful thought and consideration went into the choices at each evaluation stage and the final selection. 7 scientists took part in the evaluation process.

Among these winners, one in particular who ranked very high, Joao Duarte, is receiving a stipend from Professor Rolf Gruetter.

For those who were not selected we hope that you will submit an abstract at the next International Conference on Brain Energy Metabolism.
